Iraq said on Monday it would launch lawsuits in U.S. and Iraqi courts against the U.S. security firm for the Baghdad killings, rejecting a U.S. judge’s decision last week to throw out the charges.
In a statement, the United Nations working group on the use of mercenaries said the case underscored the need for “credible oversight” of private security companies working for the United States and other governments in war zones.

What's the difference between a "private security company" and a para-military organization (e.g, the "death squads" that terrorized Central American progressives during the Reagan administration)? That's what really frightens me about organizations like /Xe. (1) The Bush/Cheney administration gave them power ($$ and a cloak of "legitimacy") and let them operate outside of the law. (2) They'll work for anyone.
If they aren't held accountable to Iraqi law, U.S. law, and international law, they're a threat to everyone on the planet.
