Tucker Bounds is still a flaming asshole

C&L is reporting this one because the feed went dead, but I’m mostly going to use this as an opportunity to set fire to Tucker Bounds for being a moron. In getting grilled over Palin re: earmarks, he said the following:

O’DONNELL: “Let me as you specifically about the comments on ‘The View’ because John McCain was asked about Sarah Palin and earmarks. He said, ‘no, she’s not taken any as Governor.’ The Wall Street Journal today has a story that in fact Palin’s project list totals $453 million dollars. Will we hear John McCain admit that he was wrong?

BOUNDS: “Well, the first part about that Wall Street Journal piece that you should understand is that they don’t use the accumulated earmarks that Barack Obama lists on his own…

This is the way a child debates.

O’Donnell was not talking about Obama. He didn’t ask for Bounds to compare and contrast their respective penchants for earmarks. He asked him to respond to the fact that McCain said she took zero earmarks as governor, while the WSJ reports that she requested nearly a half billion. That was the issue, not who asks for the most earmarks.

This isn’t new for Bounds, either. He’s done it before, multiple times so far. In response to a criticism of Palin or McCain, he immediately responds by attacking Obama, generally when the topic has absolutely nothing to do with the man. I’m willing to bet that McCain could be caught on video kicking a dog and Bounds would say Obama, as president, would tax Americans to give dogs health care. Who hired this guy, and why is he still around?
