Where were they during his past years of depression and dillusion? Do they not have any idea that something was wrong? I can't believe that they might not have been able to get him to talk about some of his perceived problems, and then determin he might need help. The parents should be questioned and held accountable, and not treated as pure victims and left alone!!! Also, where were these videos shot? Where were all of these writings kept? Where were these weapons and bullets stored and didn't the roomates notice anything about all that? Not to mention, the gun shop owner and clerk should also bear some legal responsibility.
