Check this out. This is the kind of ad that should be playing on TVs across the nation.

Why I don’t really watch the news now

In the past few days, I’ll admit I haven’t been paying close attention to the news. I take a look at some stories, as per the Iran story below, but for the most part I’m staying clear of the run-up to the election.

Why? Because I don’t care. Congress has let out, there’s no real action happening. At this point, we’re seeing last-ditch efforts to garner votes, attack ads, stump speeches, and stories that center around picking apart things people are saying (which, you’ll notice, I don’t often delve into).

It’s a battle of words for these last few days, and words don’t interest me much. I don’t care if Senator A might have said something sexual to a waitress, or if Congressman B is friends with someone controversial. It doesn’t matter to me. And that’s all the news is filled with.

The world is still spinning outside of our elections, and the only thing election related that matters to me now is the Diebold problem. I donate time and money in my normal life, but here on the site you aren’t going to find a whole lot of stories about whatever is going on in a given state. Maybe a poll or two showing the trends nationally.

If that bothers you, I’m sorry.
