Ah yes, Iraq. We’re often told of all the progress going on, but it hardly seems that way when bodies are found all over Baghdad, and that’s just the one city.
Nearly all were shot in the head, had clear signs of torture, or were blindfolded, bound or gagged, and most were discovered in neighborhoods of western Baghdad with heavy Sunni Arab populations, he said. The other deaths reported by the ministry were in bombings and other attacks on Wednesday.
The US, of course, is denying the numbers given, but I’m going to go with what the morgue says since chances are they’re the most accurate. See, that’s what people forget. When Bush says “We’re going to stay the course” that’s just what he means. We’re going to keep up the pace of a few thousand deaths per month and no progress toward victory.
